Rat

Sometimes when Chinese people ask you for your zodiac sign, they might be trying to find out more than what animal you are. It might be a way to try and politely get to your age because you can only be a rat if you were born in a certain year. So if you were born in these years: 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020 then you are a rat and someone can guess roughly which age you are. If you are a rat, people perceive you to be easy to get along with, hardworking and honest. However, rats are also impulsive and frugal. In terms of love compatibility, rats are the most compatible with ox, dragon and monkey partners and are not compatible with horses or roosters.


Ox

You are an ox if you were born in these years: 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, and 2009. People born in the year of the ox are perceived to have a strong sense of obligation, to be diligent and stable. However, some flaws are that people born in the year of the ox are perceived to be slow, stubborn and lacking the ability to adapt to change. If you are an ox, you will get on best with people born in the year of the rat, snake and rooster and not get on well with people born in the year of the tiger, dragon, horse and sheep.


Tiger

If you were born in these years: 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998 and 2010. People born in the year of the tiger are highly independent, have a lot of self-respect and a strong sense of justice. But tigers are also anxious, emotional and sometimes their judgement aren’t always logically correct. Tigers match best with others born in the year of the dragon, horse and pig. Tigers do not match well with those born in the year of the ox, tiger, snake or monkey.


Rabbit

Rabbits are born in these years: 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999 and 2011. They are considered to have the best characteristics as they are gentle, humble, smart, kind, responsible, and patient and many more good characteristics. However, flaws may be that rabbits are considered to be conservative and timid. Rabbits match best with those born in the year of the sheep, monkey, dog and pic. They are not compatible with those born in the year of the snake and rooster.


Dragon

If you were born in these years: 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000 and 2012, then you are a dragon. Dragons are considered to be mysterious, ambitious and romantic. However, they are dreamers and unpredictable. Dragons are most compatible with roosters, monkeys and rats. Their personality will clash with that of the dog, rabbit and other dragons too.


Snake

Those who belong to the snake zodiac sign are born in the years: 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001 and 2013. Snakes are enthusiastic, curious and charming. However, they are also lazy and sly. Snakes match the best with dragons and roosters. They are a bad match with those born in the year of the tiger, rabbit, snake, sheep and pig.


Horse

If you are born in any of these years: 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002 and 2014, then you are born in the year of the horse. Horses are always one step ahead of the crowd, they don’t accept defeat and have lots of willpower. However, they also find it hard to keep secrets, are impatient and sometimes too outspoken that they offend people easily. Horses get on well with the goat and tiger and do not get on well with the rat, ox, or rooster.


Goat

If you are born in these years: 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003 and 2015, then you are born in the year of the goat. Those born in the year of the goat bring joy to people, are kind and creative. However, they are prone to be easily affected by bad experiences and are sometimes pessimistic. Goats are most compatible with those born in the year of the horse, rabbit and pig. They are bad matches with those born in the year of the ox, tiger and dog.


Monkey

Monkeys are born in the years 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004 and 2016. Those born in the year of the monkey are academically clever, diligent and knowledgeable. However, they are sometimes careless and are not good at managing relationships with those more senior or junior than them in the hierarchy. Rooster

Roosters are born in the years: 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005 and 2017. They are good at seeing the real intentions of other people, are harmonious ad kind. However, they can also have dreams that are too big for their capabilities, boastful and messy. Roosters will get on well with those born in the year of the ox and snake and should avoid rat, rabbits, horses, other roosters and dogs.


Dog

Those born in the year of the dog are born in 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006 and 2018. Dogs are careful and cautious in nature and has a strong sense of justice. However, they lack the ability to express themselves and try very hard to impress others. Dogs are the most compatible with rabbits, tigers and horses and are the least compatible with dragon, oxen and goats.


Pig

Last but not least is the pig. Pigs are born in 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007 and 2019. People perceive them to strong, warm and most likely wealthy. Pigs find it hard to push back and are easily angered. They are the most compatible with tigers, rabbits and goats but the least compatible with snakes and monkeys.
