If you are just starting off on your Chinese language learning journey, one of the key things to start building is your fountain of vocabulary as this will aid you in building sentences to have those conversations that you want.
There are 150 Chinese words for you to learn to pass the first level of the HSK 1 exams. We'll cover part 2 of these today and go through the word and sentence with you so you know how to use it!

我的爸爸很伟大。 Wǒ de bàba hěn wěidà. My Dad is very generous.
妈妈 māmā Mother
世界上只有妈妈好。 Shìjiè shàng zhǐyǒu māmā hǎo. Mums are the best.
儿子 érzi Son
我的儿子已经五岁了！ Wǒ de érzi yǐjīng wǔ suìle! My son is already five years old.
女儿 nǚ'ér Daughter
我的女儿很聪明。 Wǒ de nǚ'ér hěn cōngmíng. My daughter is very smart.
老师 lǎoshī Teacher
我的老师每天都给我很多功课。 Wǒ de lǎoshī měitiān doū gěi wǒ hěnduō gōngkè. My teacher gives me homework every day.
学生 xuéshēng Student
我是一个中文学生。 Wǒ shì yīgè zhōngwén xuéshēng. I am a Chinese student.

杯子 bēi zi Cup

飞机 fēijī Plane

出租车 chūzū chē Taxi
为什么这里一个出租车都没有呢？ Wèishéme zhèlǐ yīgè chūzū chē dōu méiyǒu ne? Why are there no taxis here?
电视 diànshì Television
电视上有没有好看的节目呢？ Diànshì shàng yǒu méiyǒu hǎokàn de jiémù ne? Are there any good shows on the TV?
电影 diànyǐng Movie 一起去看电影吧。 Yīqǐ qù kàn diànyǐng ba. Let's go watch a movie together.
天气 tiānqì Weather 今天得天气真好。 Jīntiān dé tiānqì zhēn hǎo. The weather is very good today.
猫 māo Cat
我有一只猫。 Wǒ yǒuyī zhǐ māo. I have a cat.
东西 dōngxī Thing
你的房间有很多东西。 Nǐ de fángjiān yǒu hěnduō dōngxī. Your room has a lot of things.
人 rén People
这里有很多人。 Zhè li yǒu hěnduō rén. There are lots of people here.
名字 míngzì Name
你叫什么名字。 Nǐ jiào shénme míngzì? What is your name?
书 shū Books
我喜欢看书。 Wǒ xǐhuān kànshū. I like books.
汉语 hànyǔ Chinese
我正在学习汉语。 Wǒ zhèngzài xuéxí hànyǔ. I am learning Chinese.
桌子 zhuōzi Table
我的钥匙在桌上。 Wǒ de yàoshi zài zhuō shàng. My keys are on the table.
