无疑 (wú yí) Undoubtedly
Another word we can create with 疑 (yí) is 无疑 (wú yí). This means ‘undoubtedly’. Let’s again look at each character of this word, 无 means ‘no’, and 疑 means ‘doubt’. A way of using it in a sentence is 他无疑是个好老师。(Tā wúyí shìgè hǎo lǎoshī.) He is undoubtedly a good teacher.
迟疑 (chí yí) Hesitate
Finally, we can create the word 迟疑 (chí yí) which means ‘hesitate’. The 迟 here means ‘late’. A way of using it in a sentence is 她毫不迟疑地回答了我的问题。(Tā háo bù chíyí de huídále wǒ de wèntí.) She answered my questions without hesitation.
