常识 (cháng shí) Common sense
Another word we can create with 常 (cháng) is 常识 (cháng shí). This means common sense. 识 means knowledge. A way of using it in a sentence is 用你的常识吧!(Yòng nǐ de chángshí ba!) Use your common sense!

Finally, we can create the word 平常 (píng cháng) which means ‘usually’. A way of using it in a sentence is 我平常早上八点钟起床。(Wǒ píngcháng zǎoshang bā diǎn zhōng qǐchuáng.) I usually wake up at 8am in the morning.
